1. Functional description of the L-reader

"L-reader" is a device that is used to read HDX type LF RFID tag numbers, FDX-A (UNIQUE), FDX-B with base frequencies 125kHz and 134kHz and one- and two-dimensional barcodes.

The reader reads the following types of codes:
1-D: UPC, EAN, Code128, Code 39, Code93, Code11, Matrix 2of5, Interleaved 2of5,
Codabar, MSI Plessey, GS1 DataBar,

2D: PDF417, MicroPDF417, Data Matrix, Maxicode, QR Code, Micro QR, Aztec, Hanxin

The codes should not contain more than 250 characters (bytes).

L-reader is available in variants :
- L-reader RFID [read only LF RFID tags]
- L-reader QR [reading only one- and two-dimensional barcodes]
- L-reader RFID QR [reading LF RFID tags as well as 1D and 2D barcodes]

2. Instruction

2. 1. Button

  • A short press on the button activates the last selected function (QR or RFID).
  • Pressing the button once (for approx. 1 second) always runs a QR.
  • Two short presses of the button activate the RFID (for L RFID reader QR).

2. 2. RFID reading

When reading RFID tags, bring the head close to the RFID tag after the read is done green LED and the buzzer sounds a single beep, then the L-reader enters sleep state.

2. 3. barcode reading

Activation of the reader is signalled by a double beep, after which the reader's laser is activated together with the white LED. The device is active through 8 seconds or until the barcode is scanned. By scanning the barcode the laser light must be aimed at the code to be scanned. If the code is not recognized, change the distance between the reader and the code. After reading, the green LED lights up and the buzzer sounds a single beep, then the L-reader enters sleep mode

2.4 Pairing with a base

The L-reader can be paired to work with any dedicated base. To this end read the bar code stuck on the base. Evaporation occurs only with active, or base-powered. Note: if there were any unread data, it will be erased. Data shall not be deleted if the following occurs re-pairing to the same base. If any of the following is paired with the paired base another reader, it will automatically be vaporized.

2. 5. Completion of work

After finishing work with a reader it is advisable to put it back to the base in order to ensure that all data read was transmitted when the reader was outside the radio coverage of the base.
